TwentyList Community Guidelines
Pre-production draft. Recommend licensed attorney review before major scaling. Not legal advice.
Last updated: June 19, 2026
These Community Guidelines are incorporated into our Terms of Service. They explain what belongs on TwentyList and what happens when rules are broken.
TwentyList is for local deals priced at $50 or less (with an "under $20" filter for the cheapest finds) — neighbor-to-neighbor pickup, not a national shipping marketplace.
Part A — Listing standards (commerce rules)
*Inspired by marketplace "commerce policies": what a valid listing looks like.*
Every listing must
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| $50 max | Price ≤ $50.00 USD |
| Physical items | Tangible goods you can hand off at a meetup |
| Local pickup | No shipping-only sales |
| Honest presentation | Your photos, accurate title/description, honest condition |
| One item focus | No duplicate spam for the same item across many posts |
| Legal to sell | You must have the right to sell the item |
Listing quality (like major marketplaces expect)
Listing lifecycle
Part B — Prohibited items and content
*Grouped like common commerce policy categories — not an exhaustive legal list.*
Never allowed
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Weapons & violence | Firearms, ammo, explosives, weapons marketed as weapons |
| Drugs & controlled substances | Illegal drugs, paraphernalia, prescription meds |
| Alcohol & tobacco | Beer, wine, vape, cigarettes |
| Stolen or counterfeit | Stolen property, fake designer goods, pirated media |
| Animals | Live animals |
| Digital & intangible | Game codes, accounts, downloads, services, "tasks" |
| Adult content | Pornographic or sexually explicit material |
| Scams & fraud | Wire fees, gift-card payments, fake giveaways, phishing links |
| Shipping-only | "Ships nationwide" — use a platform that supports shipping |
| Over price cap | Anything above $50 |
We may remove content that is unsafe, deceptive, or harmful even if not listed above.
Part C — Conduct and community behavior
*Inspired by platform "community standards": how users treat each other.*
Do
Don't
Part D — Messages and contact
Part E — Paid features (Boost, Premium, banner ads)
Part F — Enforcement
*Similar to marketplace enforcement ladders: escalating consequences.*
| Stage | What we may do |
|---|---|
| 1 — Reminder | Remove or edit a listing; send a warning |
| 2 — Restriction | Pause listings (`paused_pending_review`); limit posting |
| 3 — Suspension | Temporary ban from posting or messaging |
| 4 — Permanent ban | Account terminated; evasion accounts banned |
Automated signals: Many reports in a short period may auto-pause a listing until a human reviews it.
We are not obligated to provide warnings before action when safety or law requires immediate removal.
Part G — Reporting and appeals
