TwentyList helps you discover local listings. You choose whether to buy, sell, meet, and pay. Like other local marketplaces (OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace local pickup), we do not verify users, guarantee items, or handle item payments.

At the meetup
Common scams (avoid these)
| Scam | What to do |
|---|---|
| Deposit / hold fee | Never prepay to "reserve" a local item |
| Shipping pivot | TwentyList is pickup-only — walk away |
| Gift card payment | Legitimate local sales don't require gift cards |
| Overpayment / refund trick | Common in marketplace fraud — decline |
| Last-minute location change | Suggest a public alternative or cancel |
| Too good to be true | Luxury goods at $50 or less may be stolen or fake — report |
If something goes wrong
1. Leave if you feel unsafe
2. Report the user or listing in the app
3. Block the user
4. Contact local law enforcement for theft, threats, or assault
5. TwentyList cannot recover money from offline payments
